Visited the US education fair at Suntec the other week and I’m glad I did. It’s funny how you immediately associate yourself with universities that have totally nothing to do with what you’re interested in but attract you because they scream recognition and generate oohs and ahhs from unknowing relatives and inisipd civilians. And you know how you can judge a school from one conversation with its students? I’m glad that the unis which attracted me the most, had the courses and rep which I was looking for too had the fellow students which it was so easy to talk to. Birds of a feather eh.
Anyhow I realize that all my life I was looking for a liberal arts education but never found it till now. And this has been my song. So I’ve whittled down my choices to like five or so, and that list will shrink further in time to come. NYU, Boston U were my initial picks, and now there’s Northwestern (Medill!), Wisconsin-Madison, Columbia and maybe Indiana Bloomington. I still wanna do journalism. And the SPH scholarship’s would be a God-send man..But yea stay tuned for I am going plaaaacceees.
